Bitumen damping and anti-drumming sheets
Vibraflex UF is a bitumen damping sheet to isolate vibrations in sheet metal, aluminium or polyester. Bitumen damping sheets are also referred to as anti-drumming or sound deadening products. Applied anti-drumming products give the same result as holding a bell with your hand while try to ringing it. The results is a dull sound instead of ringing bell sound, the acoustical term is "anti drumming".

Vibraflex UF (Ultra Flexible) is, as the name suggests, a very flexible and self-adhesive anti-drumming sheet product. This type of Vibraflex is equipt with a protective foil of a few microns thick, this prevents the smell of the product. The inside of the sheets is equiped with a fibre mesh to provent tearing of the product. Anti-drumming is very effective for the soundproofing of vehicles, sheet metal machine enclosures and steel, aluminium or polyester surfaces in a boat, yacht or ship.

Vibraflex anti-drumming soundproofing
Vibraflex is widely used for the soundproofing of vehicles, yacht- and shipbuilding, but also for soundproofing and deadening sound in steel façade claddings, steel stairways and other (sheet) metal objects and surfaces up to 4 to 5 mm thick. An anti-drumming product gives the best result when the mass of the surface is doubled, or close to that.
